Hello everyone,
This week topic is about SAMR Model which
designed to help educators infuse technology into teaching and learning.
Miss Farah thought us what SAMR stands
for during our lesson period which is:
A)
S is for Substitution where technology
acts as a tool substitute, without functional changes
B)
A is for Augmentation where technology
acts as direct tool substitute with functional improvement
C)
M is for Modification where technology
allows for significant task redesign
D)
R is for Redefinition where technology
allows for the creation of new tasks
Then Miss Farah asked one of my classmate
to explain the SAMR Model in her understanding. She gave an example using the coffee
drink which,
Substitution
+ Augmentation = Enhancement
Modification
+ Redefinition = Transformation
Thus, using educational field, SAMR Model
stands for:
A)
Substitution – Students print out worksheet
of essay, finished it and pass it in
B)
Augmentation – Students answer essay from
Google or any other tools instead of using solid items
C)
Modification – Essay question is made
along with musical track or animation
D)
Redefinition – Students are assigned to
create a documentary based on current situation
Miss Farah also explained about the
difference between Bloom Taxonomy and SAMR Model. The picture below explained about
the Bloom Taxonomy and SAMR Model.
This was what Miss Farah thought us the
class. I tried my level best to summaries it and make it as short points.
Well
that’s all on what we learned this week and I hope that all my point bring
benefit to the readers.
Thank
you ^_^
*Please
do ignore my grammar mistakes. I’m not that good in my English. <3
